Father Bill Nix & Father Paul Keane Bow Out

At a farewell party held in the Cathedral Parish Hall on 27 September 2009, Father Bill and Father Paul were given a rousing send off as they left Brentwood and Warley for their new parishes

After eight years of marvellous service as Dean of the Cathedral and parish priest at both Brentwood and Warley, Father Bill is going to take over as parish priest at Braintree

Father Paul who has been here for the last two years is now moving to Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe where he will be responsible for his first parish

As part of his duties he will also be Chaplin to the University of Essex at Wivenhoe Park

Parishoners made a collection for both Father Bill and Father Paul as a small farewell token

Fr Bill is sent off with a final fond embrace
